FISL Selects First Scholarship Recipient

The Fund for International Service Learning is proud to announce the recipient of our inaugural scholarship. Congratulations to Danielle Brockington of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte! She will be attending a service learning Summer program in Kingston, Jamaica through the International Partnership for Service Learning.

In Danielle’s own words: "service-learning is an opportunity to obtain a perspective of Jamaican society that is impossible to achieve by any other means. Integrating service with my studies allows me to better understand the utility and purpose of my work and to understand the circumstances of the community I serve." Well said! We at the Fund for International Service Learning are proud of Danielle and many others like her who choose to participate more fully in the international communities to which they’ve come to learn.
