The Fund for International Service Learning (FISL) announced the recipient of its Fall 2008 scholarship: Hawaii Pacific University undergraduate Tiana-Rae Bordenave. In the Spring of 2009, Tiana-Rae will attend a service learning program at the Galapagos Academic Institute for the Arts and Sciences in Ecuador through the International Partnership for Service Learning .

In Tiana-Rae's own words: "There is something special about serving others and once I complete this program, my passion to help others will be invigorated and will help me to continue in this pathway. By helping others, you also learn from them just as much as they learn from you. I hope to continue this lifelong journey the rest of my life."

FISL is honored to support Tiana-Rae and others like her who participate in service learning programs across the world.
