Scholarship Application Instructions

The Fund for International Service Learning (FISL) is offering $500 scholarships to aid students who are enrolled (or in the process of enrolling) in an accredited International Service Learning program. Recipients are selected based on their academic and professional goals and accomplishments, as well as financial need.

If you receive a scholarship from the Fund for International Service Learning, you will be required to sign a recipient agreement letter promising to use the scholarship for its intended purpose and to submit acceptable documentation that demonstrates successful completion of your program.

In order to be considered for a scholarship from the Fund of International Service Learning, you must submit the following:

  1. Completed application form
  2. Proof of acceptance into an accredited service learning program
Your application for the Spring 2010 scholarship application period must be submitted by April 15, 2010.

Please note the following requirements when applying for our scholarship:

  • Your home institution must be based in the United States.
  • Your program must take place outside of the United States.
  • Your program must result in credit from an institution of higher learning.
  • Your program must include service.
  • Your program must include a class-based reflective component on the service experience.
